In pipeline engineering, flanges are mainly used for connecting pipelines. In the pipelines that require connection, various equipment can be connected with a flange. For low-pressure pipelines, threaded flanges can be used, and for pressures above 4 kilograms, welded flanges can be used. Add sealing points between the two flanges and tighten them with bolts. Flanges with different pressures have different thicknesses and use different bolts. When water pumps and valves are connected to pipelines, the parts of these devices are also made into corresponding flange shapes, also known as flange connections.
Any connecting component that uses bolts to connect and seal two planes around the perimeter is generally referred to as a "flange", such as the connection of ventilation ducts, which can be called a "flange type component". However, if this connection is only a partial part of a device, such as the connection between a flange and a water pump, it is not appropriate to call the water pump a "flange type component". Smaller components such as valves can be called "flange parts".
Welding flanges are one of the flange products with high demand on the market today. The pressure rating of high-pressure butt welding flanges is generally between 0.5mpa-50mpa. The structural methods of high-pressure butt welding flanges are divided into unit flanges, integral flanges, and insulated flanges. According to the shape of the flange surface, it can be divided into flange sealing surfaces: flat, concave, convex, tenon groove, and ring joint surfaces.
The sealing of welded flanges is reliable, with excellent functionality and beautiful appearance. Welding flanges have advantages such as wear resistance, heat resistance, corrosion resistance, good scratch resistance, and long service life.
Due to its significantly improved impact strength compared to other solid wall pipes, its ring stiffness is equivalent to 1.3 times that of the solid wall. The pipe has a service life of over 50 years under additional operating temperatures and pressures, and is resistant to ultraviolet and radiation, ensuring that the product never fades.
