A flange sealing ring is a device that consists of two flanges connected between two flange sealing surfaces. Then tighten the flange with screws to avoid flange leakage. When replacing the large flange sealing ring, there is no need to disassemble the valve disc. Simply open the valve next to the flange and remove the key to the operating device to adjust its closed state. Afterwards, it remains connected to the main valve key and continues to rotate the handwheel in the opening direction until the sealing ring is located on the side facing the valve body seal, in order to replace the sealing ring.
The large flange sealing ring generates self sealing force under the action of reverse working pressure, increasing the sealing pressure ratio and securing the valve seat. The greater the reverse pressure, the greater the self sealing force. Therefore, the sealing ring is seamlessly connected to the valve seat, creating a bi-directional seal.
In high-pressure facilities and pipelines, lenses made of copper, aluminum, steel, and stainless steel or other styles of metal gaskets are used. The high-pressure gasket has a narrow contact width with the sealing surface (line contact), and the sealing surface and sealing gasket have high smoothness.
The flange bolt connection (wire connection) flange is different from the welded flange. Everyone must also understand that the thickness of flanges and the diameter and quantity of connecting bolts vary under different working pressures!
When sealing the flange, we need to know that the valve disc is rigid, stable in appearance, and not easily deformed. Valve discs above DN300 are double plate truss flow structures with low flow resistance and good rigidity. Under working pressure in the opposite direction, deformation is not easy. As the valve disc deforms, the sealing ring will not separate from the sealing point of the valve seat, ensuring the sealing effect of the sealing ring.
