The correct installation process for welding flanges

Butt welded flange, also known as high neck flange, is a type of pipe fitting that refers to a flange with a neck and a circular pipe transition, and is welded to the pipe. Welding flanges are not easily deformed, have good sealing, and are widely used. They are suitable for pipelines with significant instability in pressure or temperature, or pipelines with high, high, and low temperatures. The advantage is that the price is relatively cheap, and the nominal pressure does not exceed 2.5MPa; Also used for transporting expensive, flammable, and explosive media in pipelines, with a nominal pressure of around PN16MPa.

The correct installation sequence for butt welding flanges: Firstly, before connecting the butt welding flanges, the inner and outer sides of the connected stainless steel pipe fittings should be tidied up. Separate the flange with groove ring from the device on the pipe that needs to be connected. The port of the pipe needs to be processed with a 90 degree flanging process. After processing, the port plane of the pipe needs to be polished. After polishing, it should be straight and flat, without burrs, bumps, and deformations. In addition, the pipe mouth needs to be rounded with a special tool.

Another simple method is to use a product to flange a short pipe and then weld it onto the pipe material for use. Insert O-ring rubber seals and stainless steel seals installed on both sides into the flange with slotted rings. The inner hole of the sealing ring is the same as the inner diameter of the pipe, and then the flange hole is connected with bolts. The bolt components need to be symmetrically tightened. When tightening the butt welding flange, attention should be paid to ensuring excellent sealing at all joints and meeting the required specifications.
